30.09.2012 11:35, Bella Dvina 2
21-22 September, 2012 2nd route elaboration workshop took place in the guest house „VIDY SODYBA” in Utena region

Project coordinators, tourism experts from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus took part in the meeting. Tourism experts presented the first “draft” version of 5 tourist routs (family route, tourist group route, a route around top objects of the region, water route and natural route). They also marked these routes on a map.

2nd route elaboration workshopBearing in mind the fact, that tourist exhibitions “Balttour 2013” in Riga and “Adventour 2013” in Vilnius are approaching, the tourism experts are in the process of updating the information for the tourist brochure “Your bet holidays in Latgale, Auctatia and Vitebsk region”. It has been decided not only to update the information but also to present it separately for each region.

As the thematic routes elaboration and information update is a public process, fully open to all individuals and companies concerned, we request the tourist agencies that belong to self-government institutions as well as private tourist companies inform the specialists of tourist information centers, that tourist offers of your companies correspond to brochure sections and subject of the routes. Internet version of the brochure in Russian see

This information will help us prepare fully-fledged information about tourism opportunities of the three regions. On the other hand these marketing materials will serve to popularize common latvian-lithuanian-belarus tourist destination and will promote economic development of border regions. In case of any questions please contact project manager Tatiana Kozachuk: email or mobile: +371 26395176.

The second workshop was organized within the EU-funded project 'Fostering Capacity for Tourism Development in Latgale-Utena-Vitebsk Cross Border Region' (BELLA DVINA 2), which is being implemented within the Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
